Thanks to Shandra for allowing me to share some of my favorite lavender spaces.
For the confident lover of lavender, carpet can be a wonderful way to infuse this appealing hue into a bedroom or living room.
Lavender upholstery is another design choice for the self-assured. A paler lavender hue was chosen for the long drapery panels. The beaded glass pendant light is gorgeous in this contemporary space.
Lavender zebra print is unexpected, but beautiful, in this updated traditional sitting room. A whimsical wallpaper and chic rug add even more lavender within the space.
This dining room done in a neutral palette gets the lavender treatment with velvet upholstery on the dining chairs.
A lovely watercolor effect on the walls brings appealing lavenders and lilacs into this beautiful dining room. Artwork, fresh-cut blooms and glass table decor add their own colorful touches.
Lavender is beautifully paired with taupe. Lavender and taupe plaid bedding with simple lines contrast nicely with the more feminine gathered bed skirt.
An all-white bathroom is updated with lavender paint on the walls, giving it a chic crisp look. Paint is an easy way to try out a new color or a more bold use of an old favorite.
This great living room in gorgeous neutrals is a lovely example of how one single element can be used to bring a much-loved hue into a space. Here, the restrained use of lavender gives the color, even more, importance in the design. Images 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8
