One Room Challenge Fall 2021 – Week 3

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

Hello, Everyone!

It's week three of the One Room Challenge and things are moving right along.  This week, I'm making decisions about what color green to use on the buffet and the hardware.

On the board below, I am inspired by the three colors on the case goods to help me decide.  I'm leaning towards the "A" option.  I like that it's not too bright and not too dark, it's kind of in-between.  But I also like the emerald green, "C", because the hardware pops off the furniture and it's a classic shade of green.  I like "B" because it is bright, fun and it will give my traditional buffet a contemporary flair.  I think it would work well with my concept.  The jury is still out.

As for the hardware, I'm definitely loving the bee drawer knobs that I found on Amazon (Amazon is my go-to for everything).  I want something unexpected and stylish.  So when I saw the bees, my first thought was 'GUCCI BABY!' LOL.  And for the backplate, I want something that resembles a flower, we all know bees love flowers and so do I.  I believe I have made my decision for the hardware.

To give my buffet a little extra added "oomph", I'm going to line the sides of the drawers with the leftover peel and stick wallpaper from my DIY Kate Spade Inspired desk.  It's one of my favorite projects to date.  The wallpaper is definitely bold, fun, and works with my concept.  This is also something unexpected, I call it "low key drama".

Stay tuned to see what paint color I decided to use by joining my mailing list to receive my blog updates.  It's time for me to get back to designing, I'll chat with you next Thursday.

Oh, by the way, which color would you select?
