WHO ARE WE
cu·rat·ed suites is a division of Shandra Ward Interior Design Studio. Ms. Ward has over 25 years of experience in designing both residential and commercial spaces. Launching her career as a set designer for local theaters and crafting captivating storefront windows, Shandra honed in on her creative skills.
She undertook diverse projects, including showroom design for prominent furniture retailers and collaborating with architects on multimillion-dollar ventures. Recognizing her talent for crafting living spaces that seamlessly blend beauty with functionality, she established her own design firm infusing each project with a unique and refreshing perspective.

WHY WE DO IT
Noticing that many short-term rental businesses struggled to stay operational beyond a year, she set out to uncover the underlying issues. Her investigation revealed that many of these properties had subpar designs. They often lacked an inviting atmosphere, featured furnishings that were poorly scaled, and suffered from a lack of design continuity.
In response to the challenges faced by short-term rental owners, Shandra developed a design program called "My Signature BNB". This program covers fundamental design principles, including color usage, space planning, and other key elements to help create cohesive and inviting spaces. While the program was successful, many participants found they needed further assistance in fully realizing their property’s potential. Recognizing that effective design involves more than just selecting and placing items, Shandra launched cu·rat·ed suites.
